Vintage Lorna Jackson Currie 7-8" Flower Bowl - Barneys NY Studio Pottery Signed

Up for sale is a stunning, collectible mid-sized bowl by British ceramic artist Lorna Jackson Currie. This hand-thrown, flower-shaped bowl features a beautiful scalloped rim and Currie's signature vibrant folk-art aesthetic.  The interior boasts a bright yellow glaze accented by intricate, multi-layered hand-painted floral motifs, spirals, and whimsical underglaze pencil details. The glossy black exterior is equally detailed with colorful dotted patterns. The underside features the artist's handwritten signature Lorna Currie in underglaze pencil alongside the original Made in England studio sticker. Pieces from this series were curated and sold through luxury retailers like Barneys New York in the 1990s. Her Studio was LJC Ceramics in Bedfordshire. It is in very good condition with no chips or crazing from a smoke and pet free home.
