Brand new Marimekko tea towel, linen cotton blend, iconic poppy pattern in beige and white. Never used, brand new. There are two small ‘snags’ it seems in the fabric, please see last picture. Unikko which means poppy in Finnish was designed by Maija Isola against Armi Ratia’s explicit wishes. Armi Ratia had announced to the world that Marimekko would never have or include any floral patterns in their repertoire, but Ms. Isola had other ideas, and she designed the now world famous poppy pattern that became one of the most popular patterns Marimekko had.
