Taylor Trumpet, B♭, Satin Silver Finish, with Mouthpiece Protector

Up for sale is a Chicago II model B♭ trumpet in silver satin finish from the handmade brand Taylor, along with its genuine mouthpiece and a custom protector.
This is the Chicago II model, famous for being influenced by the high-end trumpet brand Monette. Instead of braces, it features metal plates or fins attached to the main tuning slide and bell. It has a yellow brass, two-piece bell and was manufactured around 2000. The bell diameter is a large 142mm, and it weighs a substantial 1.7kg. Despite being over 20 years old, there is no plating peeling. It shows natural signs of aging.
The satin finish over the silver plating makes it appear dull in photos, but it has a very distinctive and appealing look.
Included are one genuine mouthpiece for this instrument and a mouthpiece equivalent to a Bach 1 1/2C.
Since commercial protectors did not fit this instrument, I made a custom one from genuine leather. The inside of the protector shows signs of use with oil stains. As it is dimensionally specific to this instrument, I am including it.

This instrument is slightly high-pitched. I had an artisan at an atelier examine it, and they confirmed that it is designed that way. It becomes manageable with a little time to adjust.

The Taylor brand is also known for its parts supply, manufacturing bells for the currently popular trumpet brands LOTUS and AR resonance. I believe this trumpet would be a perfect choice for players who aspire to upgrade to a high-end brand in the future.

The current Taylor Chicago models have a different shape, and I don't believe they produce instruments with the same silhouette as this one anymore. From this perspective, significant depreciation in value is unlikely in the future.

While it feels quite heavy in hand, the playing feel is surprisingly effortless. It gives the sensation that all the air blown into it is converted into sound, conveying a sense of the instrument's capacity.

A case is not included. The item will be shipped securely wrapped in bubble wrap and packed in a cardboard box.
