1959 Vtg B&L Ray Ban Outdoorsman Sunglasses 58mm G15 Case Paperwork Provenance

An incredible, museum-quality time capsule find! Up for sale is a 100% authentic pair of vintage 1959 Bausch & Lomb Ray-Ban Outdoorsman Skeet Aviator Sunglasses (Catalog No. 6A 9318).  What Makes This Lot Ultra-Rare:  Most vintage sunglasses lose their paperwork over the decades. This lot includes the original mid-century Bausch & Lomb promotional booklet/tag alongside an incredibly cool May 29, 1959 Employment Office Dispatch Union Paper from the Operating Engineers Local Union No. 3 filled out for the original owner. This provides ironclad provenance dating the glasses exactly to the late 1950s.  Included in this Lot:  Vintage B&L Ray-Ban Outdoorsman Frames: Featuring a 24k gold-plated Arista frame accented by a beautiful mock-tortoise shell brow/sweat bar and paddle-style comfort arms. Stamped B&L RAY-BAN USA under the bridge.  Original B&L G-15 Glass Lenses: Classic impact-resistant mineral green glass lenses.  Original 1950s Side-Snap Case: Personalized internally with the original owner's name (Tom Eck).  Original 1959 Union Paperwork & B&L Booklet.  Condition Details:  Frame & Hardware: The gold plating is clean and bright. The tortoise accents are solid. The hinges are smooth and tight.  Lenses: In excellent vintage shape with no major scratches or distracting flaws.  Paperwork: The union slip and B&L paper show standard vintage folding lines and light aging as expected for 65+ year-old documents, but all text remains completely crisp and legible.
