Vintage Japanese Studio Pottery Tenmoku Glaze Stoneware Jar Small Pot Vessel

Add a grounding, organic element to your home with this lovely vintage Japanese studio pottery stoneware pot. Hand thrown during the 1970s to 1980s, this small vessel features a beautiful glossy Tenmoku glaze. The deep, rich iron-brown glaze exhibits subtle flecks of charcoal black and olive green undertones under bright light.  Standing 4.5 inches tall with a 3.5 inch wide rim opening, the jar displays a classic squat, bulbous silhouette. The interior showcases prominent hand thrown circular ridges from the potter's wheel, while the unglazed sandy base reveals a coarse, high-fired speckled clay body.  This unmarked folk art planter or storage jar beautifully fits into mid century modern, Japandi, or bohemian rustic decor styles. It is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks, making it an excellent holder for small dried botanicals, a desktop succulent planter, or a standalone shelf accent.
