Vintage Christian Dior Trotter Oblique Canvas & Leather Kiss-Lock Compact Wallet
Dior
This rare, authentic vintage Christian Dior compact wallet features the iconic Trotter Oblique monogram canvas in a classic brown and tan colorway. Accented with brown leather trim, it boasts a structured snap front closure and a gorgeous retro top silver-tone frame kiss-lock compartment for coins. This wallet stems from the 1970s to early 1980s era. The Trotter print (now modernly referred to as the Dior Oblique pattern) was originally created by Artistic Director Marc Bohan in 1967. It became an instant status symbol through the '70s, symbolizing logomania, travel culture, and structural French elegance. The kiss-lock or clasp hardware is a classic hallmark of mid-century and retro luxury accessories. No serial number. Dior did not consistently implement date codes or serial number tags until 1997 Condition: vintage used condition with surface wear to the canvas and leather trim consistent with age.
