Sword is in good antique condition with age appropriate wear including surface scratches to the blade and patina to the brass hilt components. Antique late 19th century fraternal ceremonial sword manufactured by C.A. Hart of Philadelphia. Features a curved polished blade with an ornate cast brass guard displaying an eagle emblem, ribbed leather wrapped grip, and rounded pommel. These types of swords were commonly used by fraternal organizations such as Knights of Pythias, Masonic orders, and similar lodge groups for ceremonial purposes.
