Antique Cream Linen Wedding Set Top sheet / 2 pillow cases

Antique bedding “Made in Italy”with raised floral embroidery. Delicate cutwork and scroll motifs run across the fabric. Soft cream tone with detailed hand-stitched accents. Classic, elegant look that layers easily.  Here’s the story. Found this at an estate sale. It was boxed along with the bridal veil. It still had its paper label which lead me to believe it was never used. I had to launder it to remove the age lines where it was folded. The fabric is so wonderful. Pure linen. The color so peaceful.And the sentiment of the beautifully  embroidered words , “Smiles and Kisses”, so cheerful.  I was told by an Italian friend that this was a traditional wedding gift in that era. Most often gifted by the bride’s family. I I’m including the paper label . See in last pic.
